A series of large size drawings in which I explore themes of impermanence and monumentality
The drawings in the Monument Series, as well as other drawings made in the same period, focus on the relation between intimacy and the detached grandeur of monumentality.
I work with black charcoal and pastel only, using the white of the paper as a form and / or color.
